Man hospitalised with life-threatening injuries after being struck by bus on Call Lane

A man is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after he was struck by a bus on Friday night (26/04) outside one of Call Lane's most popular bars.

The incident took place just outside Revolution bar at the bottom of Call Lane at around 8pm, and the pedestrian was taken away in an ambulance.

Call Lane is one of Leeds' busiest nightlife areas, and the police that arrived on the scene cordoned the street off shortly after the incident occurred- they were called at 8:03pm.

The bus appeared to be a number 12 service heading out of Leeds city centre, and eyewitness accounts say that bouncers from the various bars on Call Lane ran to assist when the collision took place.

The road was closed for a number of hours while emergency services dealt with the incident and reopened at 11.38pm.
