Pedestrian seriously hurt in Keynsham hit-and-run

A hit-and-run victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries - and now police are appealing for witnesses.

A car struck a pedestrian at about 6.30pm on Monday (June 3) as the man was walking from Charlton Park towards Charlton Road in Keynsham.

The car believed to have been involved was later found burned out in a field near Kelston.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital, where he remained yesterday (Tuesday, June 4) in a serious but stable condition.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101, providing the reference number 5219123507, or contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via their Anonymous Online Form.

When a person contacts Crimestoppers, no personal details are taken and they will not have to attend court or speak to the police.
