A pedestrian suffered serious injuries when he was struck by a car in Stockport last night.
The 42-year-old man was hurt in the collision with a silver Ford S-Max near a bus stop on the A6 outside Stockport college at 10.25pm on Saturday.
He was taken to hospital with serious injuries and remains in stable condition in hospital.

Police spoke to the driver of the car, who remained at the scene.
Today (Sunday) Greater Manchester Police confirmed details of the incident as they launched an investigation and appealed for witnesses to come forward.
Police and paramedics were called at 10.25pm on Saturday to reports of a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian near to the bus stop on Wellington Road South, between the junctions of Union Street and Ratcliffe Street.
"Emergency services attended and a male, aged 42, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He remains in a stable condition in hospital," said a GMP statement.
The driver of the car – a silver Ford S Max – remained at the scene to assist officers with their enquiries, according to GMP.
Police Sergeant Adam West, of GMP’s Roads Policing Unit, said: "We are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident, which has left a man with serious injuries.
"We are appealing to those with dashcam, witnesses to the collision, or anyone who saw the Ford travelling in the area prior to this incident, to contact the Roads Policing Unit on 0161 856 2993."
