Pedestrian knocked down by bus in Edinburgh as police lock down street

Cops locked down an Edinburgh street after a smash involving a 'bus and pedestrian'.

Emergency services raced to Henderson Street in the city's Leith area at around 7:40pm on Monday, November 29.

Police confirmed there was a crash involving a bus and a pedestrian.

It's not yet known if anyone has been injured in the collision.

The road was closed in both directions but has since reopened.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police were called around 7.40pm on Monday, 29 November, 2021 following the report of a road traffic crash involving a bus and a pedestrian on Henderson Street, Edinburgh.

"Emergency services are currently in attendance and there are no details of injuries at this time.

"The road is currently closed in both directions."
