A pedestrian died after stepping onto a dual carriageway and being hit by a motorbike. Tadeus Marek Klimczyk was pronounced dead at the scene, with the medical cause of death being established as head and chest injuries.

The record of inquest shows that, at the time of his death, the 58-year-old had "very high levels" of alcohol in his blood. Coroner Dr Peter Harrowing concluded Mr Klimczyk - who was living at Imperial Apartments, on Whitchurch Lane - died of the injuries sustained in a crash while under the influence of alcohol.

The crash happened along Hengrove Way on July 19, 2021 shortly before 10pm, the record of inquest shows. The railway technician's inquest opened last August and was concluded last Friday, June 10 at the Coroner's Court in Flax Bourton.
