A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle Wednesday in Belmont Cragin on the Northwest Side.

A woman was driving a Chevy Traverse eastbound in an alley about 1:20 p.m. in the 5200 block of Fullerton when she struck the 45-year-old man, Chicago police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy released Thursday found the man died of multiple injuries from the crash, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

The woman, 33, was cited for striking a pedestrian in the roadway, police said.
