Pedestrian injured after being hit by car in Manchester with roads shut

A pedestrian has been injured following a crash on a busy south Manchester road.

The woman was involved hit by a car on Brantingham Road, in Whalley Range, just after 5pm this evening (November 9).

Her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening, police said.

Emergency crews, including police and the North West Ambulance Service, are at the scene.

Road closures are in place on Brantingham Road and nearby Withington Road and Alexandra Road South.

Traffic is currently heavy along Wilbraham Road as vehicles are diverted away from the area.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson confirmed that a pedestrian and a car were involved in a collision on Brantingham Road.
