Pedestrian in hospital with 'serious injuries' after being hit by car in Llanelli

A pedestrian is said to have been seriously injured after being hit by a car.

The incident occurred on Station Road near Llanelli town centre in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The pedestrian was involved in a collision with a black Audi car and sustained what police describe as serious injuries.

An appeal has now been launched for witnesses to come forward.

A spokeswoman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “We are appealing for information following a road traffic collision which occurred at approximately 12.15am this morning (Tuesday February 18).

“A black Audi A4 estate and a pedestrian were involved in the collision on Station Road, Llanelli. The pedestrian was taken to hospital with what are described as serious injuries.

“Anyone who witnessed the collision, anyone who has information regarding the collision or information relating to the occupant of the vehicle is urged to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, quoting reference DP-20200218-006, by calling 101.”
