Pedestrian hit by van as Great Western Air Ambulance lands in city centre

Multiple emegenecy crews descended on the city centre after a pedestrian was hit by a van.

Great Western Air Ambulance Charity's crew arrived at the city centre this morning (Monday, September 20) following a report of an incident involving a vehicle and a member of the public.

A spokesperson for the charity said: “Our crew were called to Bristol city centre just after 11am this morning to an incident involving a pedestrian and a van.

"The crew responded in the helicopter with a Critical Care Doctor and two Specialist Paramedics on board, treating the patient on scene before escorting them to hospital in a land ambulance. Our thoughts and best wishes go to all involved."
