Pedestrian killed by truck in Melbourne CBD

A pedestrian has been hit and killed by a truck while crossing a street in Melbourne's CBD.

Police said a man, believed to be aged in his 50s or 60s, was hit by a truck travelling north on Queen Street about 4:40pm.

He died at the scene.

Queen Street has been closed between Lonsdale and Little Bourke street.

Anyone who witnessed the collision has been urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
