Pedestrian hit by car outside Iceland as police cordon off scene

A pedestrian was taken to hospital after being hit by a car outside Iceland.

Police have closed Prescot Road near to the junction with Sheil Road in Kensington, following the incident this evening.

Officers were called to the area shortly after 9pm to reports of an RTC involving a black Reno car and a pedestrian.

Pictures taken at the scene show a police cordon in place outside an Iceland store.

A police spokesperson said the pedestrian was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the Reno stopped at the scene to assist with enquires, police said.
