Pedestrian hit by car in Barrhead in rush hour crash

Emergency services rushed to Barrhead in Renfrewshire this morning after a pedestrian was hit by a car.

The accident happened just after 7am this morning.

Police were unable to provide an update on the condition of the person hit.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "We were called at 7.25am this morning to Main Street in Barrhead to a report of a crash involving a car and a pedestrian.

"Ambulance were in attendance."
