Pedestrian hit by a bus as Stagecoach vehicle is left with shattered windscreen

A man has been hit by a bus close to a pedestrian crossing in north Manchester.

The incident happened on Rochdale Road, in Collyhurst, at around 3.30pm on Thursday afternoon.

Police say the man is not believed to have suffered serious injuries during the collision.

The incident took happened close to a pedestrian crossing near Paget Street.

Photographs taken at the scene show damage to the window of a double decker bus.

Greater Manchester Police confirmed that officers were called to Rochdale Road just after 3.30pm on Thursday.

A spokesman for the force said: "We were called at 3.33pm to a report of a male pedestrian struck by a bus on the Churnet Street/Rochdale Road junction in Collyhurst."

They added that the man's injuries do not appear to be serious.
