Pedestrian dies after fatal car park collision in Dunfermline

A 33-year-old man has died after being hit by a car in Dunfermline.

The fatal road collision happened around 9.50pm on Wednesday, February 19 when a white Mercedes Benz A-Class drove out of St Margaret Street car park 2 onto St Margaret Street.

The car collided with the victim before stopping. Emergency services rushed to the scene, however the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police in Fife are appealing for any witnesses to the fatal accident to come forward.

Sergeant Nicola Young, of the road policing unit, said: "We're appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this to contact us.

"We're also specifically appealing to a person who spoke to the driver just after the incident happened."

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 quoting incident number 3744 of 19 February.
