A man has died after being hit by a “number of vehicles” on the M4 on Saturday.
South Wales Police have confirmed that a 34-year-old male pedestrian died following an incident which happened at around 5.45am.
The man’s family have been informed and are currently being supported by specialist police officers.
The M4 was shut in both directions between junctions 33 and 35 and is expected to remain so for some time, police confirmed on Saturday morning.

Sergeant Huw O’Connell, of the collision investigation unit, said: “It is vitally important that anyone who was travelling between junctions 34 and 35 on the M4 between 5.35am and 5.50am on Saturday morning in either direction and have seen anything, however insignificant, make contact with us.
“We would especially like to hear from anyone who travelled in the area and may have dash camera footage.”
