A pedestrian has died after being hit by a lorry in Swansea, South Wales police say.
The 56-year-old Swansea man was struck by the Scania lorry soon after 8pm on Wellington Street, police said in a statement.
The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries and later died.
His family were being supported by specialist officers, police said.
Police are calling for any witnesses to come forward by calling 101, quoting incident number 2000327581.
It comes after a woman in her 80s was pronounced dead at the scene on Friday after also being struck by a Scania lorry in Northallerton, north Yorkshire.
The driver, a man in his 50s, was assisting police over the weekend with the collision investigation following the incident in Brompton Road.
Meanwhile, a man was killed by a tyre that came off a livestock trailer near Somerset last week.
Peter Smith, 79, was killed after being struck on the A38 dual carriageway near Heathfield, Newton Abbot, around 10.25am on September 1.
A Mitsubishi L200 was towing a livestock trailer when the trailer lost a wheel which tragically hit Mr Smith who was walking his dog along the pavement.
The dog was kept safe at the scene and is now living with Mr Smith's family.
Last month, meanwhile, another man died after being hit by a lorry as he got out of his crashed car on the island of Anglesey in Wales.
The driver had got out of a black Vauxhall Corsa which had collided with roadside furniture junction 3 westbound on the Valley off-slip of the A55.
But moments later he was hit by an HGV truck just before 11pm, reports WalesOnline.
