Pedestrian, 53, suffers 'serious injuries' after colliding with a car in Swansea

A 53-year-old woman was taken to hospital after suffering serious injuries following a collision with a car in Swansea.

The pedestrian collided with a car in Woodfield Street, Morriston just before 9pm on Saturday, October 26.

The Swansea road was closed for around three hours while officers investigated at the scene.

The incident occurred on Woodfield Street on Saturday night (Google Maps)

South Wales Police are appealing for more information regarding the incident that involved a white Volkswagen Beetle, the driver of which is helping officers with inquiries.

The woman was taken to hospital after the crash and is said to have serious but non life-threatening injuries.

What to do if you see an accident:

A spokesperson for South Wales Police has said: "The road was closed for around three hours to allow for investigation work to take place and we would like to thank the community for their patience and understanding during this time.

"If anyone witnesses the collision or has dash cam footage of the incident, please contact us on 101 quoting occurrence 1900396509."

A spokesperson for the Welsh Ambulance Service added: "We responded with one rapid response vehicle and one emergency ambulance. One patient was transported to Morriston Hospital , Swansea.”
