A peckish Lewis Capaldi amazingly managed to get a Dominos pizza delivered mid-journey in a last ditch attempt to get some train scran.
The Scots singing sensation went into meltdown when he realised there was no food cart running on his service from Edinburgh to London today.
But in a moment of brilliance, the 23-year-old sent out an SOS Instagram message to one of his most loyal friends over the years - the takeaway giant.
Posting at 11.35am, he wrote: "‘HELLO @Dominos_UK I HAVE AN URGENT REQUEST CAN YOU PLEASE DM ME, ONCE AGAIN IT IS A MATTER IF THE UPMOST IMPORTANCE THANK YOU.
"Your friend, Lewis Capaldi x"
And incredibly, the star didn't have to wait too long, as two large Pepperoni Passion pizzas plus Garlic & Herb dip arrived as the train pulled into Darlington station.
Pictures show the chart topping artist greeting the staff member like a long lost friend as the train waited at the platform.
Renowned for his razor sharp wit, the delivery team added a little patter of their own, leaving a cheeky handwritten note which read: "We’re glad that we are someone you loved.
"We live to make your heart beat better. Eat me while you wait."
The meal obviously went down as well as Lewis hoped, as he the uploaded a picture of the two pizzas on Instagram with the caption: "Dominos you beautiful b*****ds".
Stores and Community Manager at Domino’s, Rachel Townsend said: “Lewis Capaldi knows nothing delivers like Domino’s, and our Darlington store hot footed over to the station to deliver Lewis’ favourite Pepperoni Passion pizza in the nick of time before his train moved on.
"We’re so glad we could help him in his time of need.”
