Peamount United FC have hit out at RTE over the club's exclusion from the Team of the Year nominees from last night's RTE Sports Awards.
The broadcaster held its annual sport awards last night, with the Limerick hurlers being crowned Team of the Year during the ceremony.
But the Dublin club has since taken to social media to criticise RTE after their Women's National League side was not included amongst the nominees.
Peamount sealed back-to-back WNL titles last November, finishing the season with just one loss before going on to claim the double after an FAI Cup triumph over Cork City last month.
Taking to Twitter, the club said: "This year we won the double, lost 1 game all season, not a mention tonight, everyone who got an award is so well deserved but what do we have to do to get a mention".
The Treaty county hurlers took home the top gong at the remotely-held ceremony, with several other teams nominated for the prize.
Among them were the Dublin footballers, the Dublin Ladies footballers, the Kilkenny Camogie team, Shamrock Rovers and Leinster.
