Peaky Blinders season 6: what time and channel it's on and how to watch online

Peaky Blinders is set to return for its sixth series as we once again follow Tommy Shelby and his notorious family’s rise to prominence and power.

The series first aired on BBC Two in 2014 and quickly became one of the channel’s most popular dramas broadcast and ratings quickly grew from over two million for the first series to more than four million for series four.

The upcoming series will be the first not to feature Helen McCrory as the family matriarch Polly Gray, after filming was put on hold due to covid and the actress later died of cancer in April 2021.

Speaking to Esquire magazine earlier this year, Cillian Murphy - who plays the infamous Tommy Shelby - said: "She was a dear, dear pal and she was the beating heart of that show, so it felt very strange being on set without her."

Peaky Blinders' season six picks up exactly where it left us.

Back in that field, at that moment, with that gun pointed at Tommy Shelby's head.

Episode one sees Tommy head to North America, where the end of Prohibition brings new opportunities.

But he faces new danger from an old adversary who is finally making his move.

What time and channel is Peaky Blinders on?

Peaky Blinders season six begins at at 9pm on Sunday (February 27) on BBC One.

It will also be available to watch on BBC iPlayer.

It is not yet known when the series will reach Netflix, though in previous years it has landed on the streaming platform around six weeks after airing on the BBC.
