Peaky Blinders inspired coffee shop Peaky Grinders to open in Gateshead

While we can't confirm whether it's by the orders of the Peaky Blinders or not, a coffee shop is opening on Tyneside with a name inspired by the hit BBC drama.

Just as the fifth season of Peaky Blinders has come to an end on BBC1, the show has given inspiration for another business in the North East, following on from Blinders bar, which opened in Tynemouth earlier this year.

The Birmingham-set drama has also inspired a number of themed events up here over the past years including quizzes, bar nights and Christmas parties and on Monday, October 14 the brilliantly named Peaky Grinders will open its doors at Park House Business Centre on the Felling Bypass in Gateshead right next to Peaky Finders vintage antique and interior design store.

Over the past few days, residents in the surrounding area have been receiving flyers on what to expect when Peaky Grinders opens.

It reads "We are a family run business wanting to bring something exciting to the area!

"We will be doing authentic fresh food such as breakfast, cold and hot sandwiches, cold and hot paninis, pizzas, burgers, pastas, homemade desserts and many more.

"We will be doing takeaway Sunday dinner - yes, you heard correctly - takeaway delivered right to your door! (We also do takeaways with our other home cooked meals too!)

And as you'd expect from its names, there will be some Peaky Blinders themed dishes available too.

Peaky Grinders willl be open from 7am - 4pm Monday to Saturday and 11am - 3pm on Sunday.
