'Peak Ronaldo' - Spurs fans can't believe what Jose Mourinho has done to Dele Alli

Dele Alli is flying again under Jose Mourinho at Tottenham Hotspur.

After being forced to play deeper due to midfield issues under Mauricio Pochettino, and injuries hampering his attempts to get back into form, the England international looks back to his best.

His latest moment of magic came against Manchester United at Old Trafford - an emotional match for his new gaffer.

Mourinho was sacked by the 20-time champions of England last season to be replaced by their current manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Jose Mourinho says his time at Manchester United is “a closed chapter”

It seemed as though the Portuguese was going to miss out on getting his revenge early on as Marcus Rashford scored the opener. To make matters worse, Spurs had looked unconvincing.

Step forward Dele Alli with a fantastic bit of play as he shrugged off his marker to flick the ball over and behind himself with a wicked first touch before smashing his shot home to make it 1-1.

It was a classic Dele Alli goal and another sign that the midfielder is once again showing what he's best at in the final third against opponents that cannot hope to contain him.

On social media, supporters praised Mourinho for his motivational messages after coming in to replace Pochettino.

According to Spurs fans, the real Dele Alli was back in and showing his quality.

Even an Arsenal fan was drawn in to praise Dele Alli's rebirth for their their bitter rivals, Tottenham Hotspur.

However, Rashford wasn't satisfied with only scoring the opener and put United ahead again after the half-time restart.

Dele's equaliser was his fourth goal in only four games since the appointment of Mourinho.

The Englishman also bagged an assist in the Portuguese's first game in charge as Tottenham ran out 3-2 winners against West Ham.

Spurs are still to record a clean sheet under Mourinho having followed up that victory with a 4-2 win over Olympiacos and a 3-2 win over Bournemouth.

Rashford put his former manager's defence to the sword to show where the ex-Chelsea boss must put his focus next after turning Dele Alli around.
