Peacocks confirms it is closing its Liverpool city centre store for good

Fashion retailer Peacocks has announced it is closing its Liverpool city centre store.

The store, which is currently based closed to Clayton Square, now has signs placed across its windows which informs shoppers of its closure and its final date.

The reason behind the closure is not clear but it comes after reports B&M could be moving into the site next door in the former Clas Ohlson.

Peacocks will be closing on Sunday, March 15.

On the sign it also states that the nearest store once it has closed would be Peacocks in Bootle Strand.

News Peacocks was planning to close its Liverpool store was first revealed last year where it was thought around 28 North West stores could be closing.

These included stores in Old Swan, Huyton, Birkenhead, Bromborough, Warrington and its city centre store.
