Prediction
Both offenses are Top-10 in the FBS in points per game, and feature weapons all over their respective units.
That said, this game will be won in the trenches.
Georgia’s defense is backed by a stout defensive line, featuring All-American Jalen Carter, Nazir Stackhouse and Zion Logue, who’ve helped the Bulldogs maintain the No. 1 rush defense in the FBS (77 yards per game).
Not taking away anything from Ohio States offensive line, who has been stout for the majority of the season, allowing eight sacks (5th in FBS) and averaging 198 yards per game on the ground (27th in FBS).
The Buckeyes loss to Michigan stands out when sizing up this Peach Bowl matchup.
Michigan may be the closest team to Georgia in terms of line of scrimmage play.
The Buckeyes allowed 252 yards rushing to the Wolverines in the biggest game of their season up to that point.
On the Georgia offensive front, the Bulldogs were a finalist for the Joe Moore Award, given to the nation’s top offensive line after allowing only seven sacks this season (2nd in FBS).
UGA is ranked 17th in the country averaging 207 yards per game on the ground, while the Buckeyes allow 119.9 yards rushing per game (25th in FBS).
Something has to give here, and my bet is Georgia’s offensive and defensive fronts do some damage.
