Peaberry Coffee House is opening in Crosby less than a year after suddenly closing

Liverpool favourite Peaberry Coffee House has confirmed it will return to Waterloo this year.

The coffee house, which also has a venue on the Royal Albert Dock, closed its doors on St John's Road suddenly in July 2019, after "many failed attempts" to get landlords to carry out maintenance on the site.

Now, less than a year after the closure, Peaberry Coffee House has confirmed it will return to the area.

The team announced this weekend that they would be taking over Tipsy Monkey on Liverpool Road, which closed after just one year in business in September 2019, with a brand new name and menu.

Sharing the news of Facebook, Peaberry Coffee House wrote: "Time for the big reveal! We feel like we've kept you all waiting and guessing long enough & some of you were spot on.

"We are super excited to announce that yes, we are moving into Tipsy Monkey! We'll be carrying out a little refurb first & putting our own little stamp on it but we are well underway with this already so we’re hoping we'll be able to reopen our doors to you lovely lot in the next couple of weeks.

"In the meantime we'll keep you all updated on our progress and keep filling you in with menu samples and opening hours once everything is set in stone! As always we would be forever grateful if you can share our posts to get the message out."

Fans of the much-loved coffee house have been sharing their thoughts on the new addition, set to be named ÄTA by Peaberry, on Facebook.

One person said: "Great news - and best of luck. So glad an empty unit is also being put to such good use."

Another added: "Congratulations! Wish you every success!", while a third said: "Excellent news, good luck!"

You can keep up to date with ÄTA by Peaberry's progress via Facebook.
