PEA wins 2 outstanding State-Owned Enterprise Awards 2017

Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha, recently presided over the annual State-Owned Enterprise (SOE) awards ceremony at Centara Grand and Bangkok Convention Centre, CentralWorld.

The Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) won two awards, namely "Outstanding Disclosure and Transparency" and "Outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility". Mr. Sermsakool Klaikaew, PEA Governor and Mr. Somphob Tengthabthim, PEA Deputy Governor (Corporate Social Responsibility), were presented the awards by Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha.

Those in attendance included members of PEA's Board of Directors, Mr. Surong Bulakul, Mr. Yodphot Wongrukmit, Assoc. Prof. Dr.Wisuit Sunthonkanokpong, and Mr. Yongyuth Gomet.

The State Enterprise Policy Office (SEPO) held SOE Awards 2017 under the theme "The King's Philosophy, Development, and Thai Civil State Enterprise" based on self-sufficiency economy and sustainable development, applied for use to move the country forward. 

PEA has set the step to PEA 4.0 to become "The Electric Utility of the Future" by implementing the policy, "Development of human resources through innovation and operational performance through technology". PEA has committed to the provision of information disclosure, good governance operation as a role model of authority with transparency, coupled with consistent development of the enterprise and responsibility for both society and environment.
