Officers have released images of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident.

"This was completely unacceptable behaviour towards anyone, never mind an officer who was in the area to protect people.

“I would like to use this opportunity to appeal to anyone with information to contact us as soon as possible. We are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who can help us identify the young man in the images or has information about the bike or where it came from.”

Anyone with information should contact police on 0161 866 9746 quoting 1113 of 21/04/20 or the independent charity – Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
