PCSO injured after driver failed to stop and drove towards him

A PCSO was injured after a driver failed to stop and drove towards him.

The incident happened on East Street, Bedminster, at around 10.40am yesterday morning (July 26).

In a statement, Avon and Somerset Police said that the driver drove towards the officer, making contact with his foot and causing a minor injury.

The force is now appealing for witnesses of the incident.

The statement said: "On Monday morning (July 26) at about 10.40am, a PCSO was injured while attempting to stop a vehicle on East Street, Bedminster.

"The driver failed to stop when directed and drove towards the officer, making contact with his foot and causing a minor injury.

"We’d like to hear from anyone who saw what happened. If you can help, call 101 quoting crime reference number 5221169537."
