A serving police community support officer (PCSO) has been charged after a video emerged online allegedly showing a sex act in a London park.

PCSO Kevin Phillips, who works in the Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command, has been charged with outraging public decency, the Metropolitan Police said.

He will appear in custody at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

It comes after a video was posted online, which, according to reports, appeared to show a man “committing a sex act on a London park bench in broad daylight”.

MailOnline reported it is unclear when or where exactly the footage was filmed.

A spokesperson for the Met said the footage was brought to the attention of police shortly before 11.30pm on Wednesday.

A referral has been made to the police watchdog, the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).

A spokesperson for the IOPC said: “We have received a referral from the Metropolitan Police Service and will carry out an assessment to determine what further action may be required from us.”
