PIMPRI CHINCHWAD: The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) will keep ready its jumbo hospital facility at the Annasaheb Magar stadium within the next week. The civic officials said that they have started cleaning the equipment and the equipment is monitored.
PCMC commissioner Rajesh Patil said, "Resumption of these facilities is being done. In case of any alarming rise in the number of Covid cases, we do not want to be underprepared. Our focus is on the four civic hospitals, which will first take care of Covid patients. If their capacity surpasses, these major facilities will be used."
He said the Akurdi hospital, New Bhosari hospital, Thergaon hospital and New Jijamata hospital are some of the civic hospitals which will take care of the Covid cases.
"We want to give the Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Hospital a breather and hence these hospitals are being upgraded in terms of infrastructure and the manpower. Only if the cases see a rapid surge will we start admission of the patients in autocluster hospital and jumbo hospital," he added.
