Jason Manford is calling on the good people of Bramhall to help track down the driver of a Tesla after his car was damaged in a car park hit-and-run.

The comedian shared a photo of a handwritten note on the ‘We Love Bramhall’ community Facebook page, revealing that someone had pranged the front bumper of his car, but didn’t leave any contact details.

The mystery note, left by an anonymous witness, simply read: “A black/blue Tesla hit your front bumper 11:23AM. Hope this helps!”

Posting the image online, the 43-year-old added: “Thanks to the person who wrote this note today in Bramhall Precinct Car Park.

“I don't want to put this person in our group, or even worse, on my own social media pages.

“So if anyone knows who it is, or it's you, can you please get in touch and pay for the damage you caused.”

The incident follows another frustrating experience for the comic, who recently launched a scathing review of a hotel that forced him to share a room with a friend due to overbooking.

Manford was in Bournemouth over the weekend for a stop on his A Manford All Seasons tour when he arrived to discover his hotel had no room for him, despite his booking.

Documenting the ordeal in a video posted to his social media, he explained that after arriving late, staff informed him that his room had been sold to another guest.

“So we got to our hotel tonight in Bournemouth and it's fully booked. We were like, 'Fine, that's good - well done you!” he said.

Clearly unimpressed, he continued: “Oh well, these things happen and all that. Worse things happen at sea. But Village Hotel, just beware, if you are booking and it's a busy day in a busy city...

“I mean, we're lucky that [our booking] was two rooms because that fella coming behind us, a doctor as well, and no room for him. He just had to walk out, and like and there's no rooms anywhere in Bournemouth tonight.

“Naughty that, naughty. I've heard of aeroplanes doing it, but I've never known in 25 years of touring, a hotel doing it. That's not on, that is not on.”

Panning the camera to show the two single beds he ended up sharing with his tour companion Steve, Manford joked: “So we've managed to make best of our situation. But that poor doctor, maybe he could sleep on the floor! Anyway, good night.”

He captioned the video: “What’s your minimum expectation when you book a room at @Villagehotelsup? Staff were lovely but policy stinks!”

The following day, Manford returned to social media to say hotel management had reached out and requested he remove the video.

But the comedian stood his ground and refused to delete the post, saying he wanted to keep it up to warn others about the hotel's policy and to show solidarity with the staff who were left dealing with frustrated guests.

Manford made it clear the Bournemouth hotel staff weren’t at fault, urging his followers to direct their frustration at the decision-makers behind the “ridiculous policy” instead.
