Pawprint has today launched a crowdfunder to help accelerate climate action at scale in the wake of COP26.
Hosted by Crowdcube, the Edinburgh-based eco tech business is seeking £700,000 to extend Pawprint for Business, its employee engagement platform.
The platform encourages businesses to engage, support and unite employees in reducing their carbon footprints at home, at work and beyond.
Currently used by 31 UK businesses and organisations - including Brewdog, Tesco Bank, abrdn and Royal London - the fundraise is aiming to accelerate its growth to meet current UK and international demand.
Founded in May 2020 by entrepreneur Christian Arno and backed by carbon footprint measurement expert Mike Berners-Lee, Pawprint has already attracted funding of £2.2m from investors including Gareth Williams, co-founder of Skyscanner and James Watt, chief executive of BrewDog.
A previous Pawprint crowdfund at the end of last year was overfunded by 274%.
Chief executive Arno commented: “Since launching Pawprint for Business late last year we have grown steadily thanks to interest from businesses in every industry sector.
“Now with one of the key messages emerging from COP26 being the need for urgent climate action we are fundraising to accelerate both our UK and international growth.
“Pawprint for Business empowers action at scale and fundraising will enable us to roll out Pawprint for Business to more organisations and cut carbon emissions faster.”
