Paulo Dybala yet to be convinced over Man Utd transfer from Juventus

Paulo Dybala has yet to be convinced he will be making the right move by joining Manchester United .

United are in talks with Juventus over a swap deal for Dybala that would see their out-of-favour striker, Romelu Lukaku, go the other way to the Italian club.

Lukaku is keen on a switch to Juventus and, with both players valued at £75million, a swap deal could be concluded swiftly ahead of next Thursday's transfer deadline.

But while Lukaku - who wants out of United after being told he is not part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's long-term vision for the club – is ready to move, Argentina star Dybala is said to be undecided.

Although Dybala lost his status as a regular starter at Juventus last season, the 25-year-old Argentina World Cup star is concerned at swapping the Champions League for the Europa League by joining United.

But with Juventus keen to offload him and Dybala aware he is unlikely to reclaim his place as a regular next season if he stays, the onus is on the forward to agree to a switch to United.

Lukaku's initial preference was to join Inter Milan, but their refusal to meet United's £75m asking price, after making an opening bid of £54m for him, has opened the door for a potential switch to Juventus.

The Belgium forward is so desperate to restart his career elsewhere, after being a passenger on United's four-game tour of Australia and the Far East, he is now willing to accept a move to Juventus.

United would like to tie up a deal for Dybala and Lukaku by the weekend, leaving them free to focus all their attention on landing Harry Maguire from Leicester by the August 8 deadline.

But with sources indicating any deal is currently “a long way off from happening”, it is highly likely the saga involving Dybala and Lukaku will drag on into next week.
