Paulo Dybala has sent a message to three Juventus players.
The Argentina international is attracting interest from Tottenham Hotspur, although any deal will have to be completed by 5pm this afternoon.
Last month it was revealed that the Lilywhites were indeed interested in signing Dybala.
Football.london also stated that Spurs had been been in discussions with Juventus about an ambitious move for the 25-year-old.
But the rumours had gone cold amid links to Manchester United.
However, Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reported on Tuesday that Tottenham had agreed a fee with the Serie A giants.
Di Marzio had previously told Sky Sports Italia that Juventus would accept a fee of €70million for Dybala, equating to £64.5million, so Spurs are on course to smash their transfer record for a second time this summer.
Tanguy Ndombele became the club's most expensive signing following his £63m move from Lyon at the beginning of July, although that tag will be short-lived if Spurs get the Dybala deal over the line.
A further update last night from the Independent claimed that the north London outfit are willing to match Dybala's wage demands, although his image rights are the one remaining stumbling block.
Whilst all of this was going on, Dybala was in action for Juventus.
And perhaps for the final time as after the match he posted a message on Instagram to Giorgio Chiellini, Sami Khedira and Douglas Costa in what could possibly have been him saying goodbye.
Whatever the case is, expect a resolution in the coming hours as Spurs look to confirm one of the most exciting deals of the summer transfer window.
