The agent of Juventus forward Paulo Dybala has discussed the failed move for his client to the Premier League, after a summer where Manchester United and Tottenham were both keen on his services.
Dybala was deemed to be surplus to requirements by the Italian champions, who were prepared to offer him as makeweight in a deal that would see Romelu Lukaku move to Turin - although he eventually went to Inter Milan.
After a proposed transfer to Old Trafford fell through, reportedly due to Dybala 's staggering wage demands, Tottenham continued to be linked with a swoop but it soon became clear no transfer would be forthcoming.
While it was claimed that Dybala's wages were the problem behind a failed transfer, his agent has denied that was the case and instead put the collapse of a deal down to issues between the clubs.
"I did speak to the English club, but the stories about the commission were not true," Jorge Antun told TuttoSport.
"There were simply issues between the two clubs."
Dybala was an unused substitute for Juventus' 1-0 victory over Parma in their first Serie A match of the season on Saturday and continues to be linked with an exit.
Some of the latest reports suggest he could now be used in an move to bring Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain to Italy.
But his agent added there is nothing in the works at the moment.
"There are no imminent trips to Paris planned," he said.
