Paulo Dybala transfer latest: Attacker spotted in London amid rumoured Spurs interest

It was a long and torturous pursuit for Spurs fans in the summer.

The club were linked to Juventus star Paulo Dybala for weeks, and with the early transfer deadline approaching, it looked like they may have gotten their man.

But due to a complicated image rights deal that could not be negotiated at such short notice, Spurs and Mauricio Pochettino missed out on one of the top attacking talents in Europe.

Since then, he's performed well in Serie A and the Champions League under new Juve boss Maurizio Sarri.

But with Jose Mourinho's arrival, rumours are circulating again about what will happen in the January window.

Check out the latest below.

Pochettino on the missed deal

Mauricio Pochettino responded to questions over the Dybala deal shortly after the club missed out on the signing - but kept it slightly ambiguous.

"I am now going to start my sixth season at Tottenham. And lots of players are linked with moving in and moving out. Of course it is difficult for the fans to know, but I cannot speak about rumours and players at other clubs."

How Dybala fared earlier in the season

It wasn't the easiest of starts for Dybala back in Turin. He began the season on the bench before forcing his way into Maurizio Sarri's team.

Dybala's admission

Paulo Dybala has been speaking about his time at Juventus this season, and made a worrying claim for Spurs fans.

"The way the team is led has changed. [Sarri] has a completely different way of understanding the game."

Dybala in London

The Juve star has been spotted in London, posting pictures on Instagram with his girlfriend Oriana Sabatini.

And reports in both Spain and Italy claim that Jose Mourinho is targeting Dybala in January.

Could this be the start of a renewed move for the Argentina international?
