An associate of the late Paul Walker allegedly took possession of at least seven cars that belonged to the Fast & Furious star less than 24 hours after the actor died in a high-speed car accident and has not yet returned them, states a new court filing at the Los Angeles superior court.
Walker’s estate is pursuing legal action against Richard Taylor, demanding the return of a 2011 Porsche GT3 RS and six other cars, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The suit claims that Taylor helped Walker maintain his collection of vehicles. The court filing notes that he provided the estate with a list of 32 cars that Walker owned or co-owned, but did not disclose a further seven vehicles. It also alleges that Taylor and his associates went to storage facilities and removed vehicles to unknown locations.
The estate is suing for the return of the vehicles or renumeration for their value, as well as unspecified compensation. Walker died on 30 November 2013 when the Porsche he was travelling in crashed and burst into flames in Santa Clarita, California. He had been on hiatus from a shoot in Atlanta for Furious 7, which was subsequently completed thanks to the extensive use of CGI and appearances by his brothers Caleb and Cody, who doubled for the actor.
