Paul vs Chavez Jr - LIVE!
Jake Paul enjoyed a largely stress-free night as he picked up a comfortable points victory over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
‘The Problem Child’ was back in the ring for the first time since his win over Mike Tyson last year and was expected to be somewhat tested in California by the former world champion. But Chavez Jr did a good impression of Tyson in the early rounds, failing to land a single punch in the opening three minutes and offering nothing in the way of a threat in the first half of the bout. Paul picked up the rounds without breaking a sweat, landing the job and whipping in the occasional right hand, before he finally began to have something resembling opposition in the later rounds.
Chavez Jr suddenly decided to engage and had a strong ninth, firing in a big uppercut and a sharp left hook that left Paul content to clinch and hear the bell. The Mexican was told by his corner that he needed a knockout in the final round and did let his hands go but never looked like seriously hurting Paul, who won by unanimous decision as it was scored 99-91, 98-92 and 97-93 in his favour.

All three judges gave the first seven rounds to Paul.
The 28-year-old picked up the rounds without breaking a sweat, landing the job and whipping in the occasional right hand, before he finally began to have something resembling opposition in the later stages.

Don’t think there was any doubt in either fighter’s mind who won that fight.
Paul moves to 12-1... Chavez Jr you’d imagine moves away from the boxing ring.

Paul wins by unanimous decision!
06:13 , Matt Verri99-91. 97-93. 98-92.
As expected, all three judges have it wide to Paul.
Chavez Jr doesn’t look like he has any interest in complaining about that.
Chavez Sr up to have a word with his son in the corner. I’m not a body language expert... but he looks like he wants to fight him to be honest.
Jr, on the other hand, has a smile on his face.
No idea what he was playing at in the first half of that fight. Didn’t show up at all - and then suddenly decided to show he could cause Paul some problems.
Paul vs Chavez Jr
06:09 , Matt VerriRound 10
Message is clear from Chavez Jr’s corner. Three minutes, you need a knockout. Throw everything at him.
Here we go into the final round and Chavez Jr is walking Paul down.
Goes for the big right hand, short with that but the left hook lands. Paul responds with one of his own.
Now a flurry to the body from Chavez Jr, but to be fair to Paul he’s throwing with him.
Ten seconds... Chavez Jr has Paul on the ropes and he unloads. Biiig left.
But there’s the bell!
Chavez Jr turned up for the final two rounds, but the fight was lost by then.
97-93 Paul as close as Chavez Jr could hope for.
Paul vs Chavez Jr
06:05 , Matt VerriRound 9
Chavez Jr determined to referee this fight himself.
Body shot from Paul, Chavez Jr stops and screams at the referee... who then has a debate with him about why it was legal.
Chavez Jr not having it - he’s going to have to have it.
Might be a good thing that he’s angry, nice left hook. Why didn’t he start like this? And by ‘like this’ I mean trying.
Left hook, straight right. Paul looking a bit tired as he tries to hold.
Shot! Big uppercut from Chavez Jr, massive roar from the crowd. Their man has come alive.
And another one, left hook thudded in. Paul looks exhausted. Thrilled to hear the bell.
And Chavez Jr walks back to his corner with his arms raised as though he’s just won a world title.
Paul vs Chavez Jr
06:01 , Matt VerriRound 8
Commentators talking about some of the best comebacks of Chavez Jr’s career.
Just the 13 years ago...
Don’t think he’s thrown 13 punches tonight. Shadow of his former self.
Oh - there’s three! Mexican whips the shots to the body, and then a right hand upstairs. Better.
Bit messy on the inside as Paul ties him up, but Chavez Jr finally starting to consistently let his hands go.
Dare I say it - his round?
Paul vs Chavez Jr
05:57 , Matt VerriRound 7
Chavez Sr not particularly enjoying his night, it’s fair to say. His name not being done justice to put it mildly.
We’re already very much at the stage where the Mexican needs a knockout if he’s going to win.
Paul doing nothing fancy but it’s effective. Jab, move, hold.
All the clinching isn’t really improving the mood of the booing fans.
Seven rounds gone... best case scenario for Chavez Jr is that he’s 6-1 down. That might be generous.
Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. is NOT happy 👀

Paul vs Chavez Jr
05:53 , Matt VerriRound 6
“He’s got nothing left,” is the verdict from Chavez Jr’s corner. No, they’re not talking about their own man. I don’t think.
Lovely uppercut from Paul on the inside, and now a three-shot combination. He’s enjoying himself, another opponent offering basically no resistance.
Saying that... Chavez Jr forces Paul back onto the ropes and lands a left hook.
He goes back to covering up, but gets through again ten seconds later. Paul happy to just hold.
Crowd roar Chavez Jr on, he steps in but gets spun on the ropes and Paul can get back on the front foot.
Chavez Jr’s best round... from the lowest of low bars, though.
Paul vs Chavez Jr
05:49 , Matt VerriRound 5
Paul’s jab has been solid all night, getting plenty of success with it.
“I think Chavez Jr needs to let his hands go. If he does he can have some success.”
That’s the view of the commentary team. Going to be fairly difficult to have any success if he doesn’t let them go.
Clash of heads as Chavez Jr falls in, looks like they both avoided a cut thankfully.
Still the guard is very, very high. Showing Paul so much respect.
Mexican is trying to land the big overhand right, but it’s landing short every time.
Paul 5-0 up at halfway.
Paul vs Chavez Jr
05:45 , Matt VerriRound 4
Right to the body from Paul. Easy target to hit, with Chavez Jr’s hands right up over his face.
Paul goes downstairs again, more complaining from Chavez Jr to the referee, who still has no interest in the moaning.
The Mexican’s face is starting to mark up, after a big right hand.
That briefly kicks Chavez Jr into life on the front foot... lasts two seconds.
Overhand right from Chavez Jr, lands on the top of Paul’s head. He has now decided to play some part in this fight, snapping in a jab.
Still Paul’s round but there are at least two fighters now in this bout.
Paul vs Chavez Jr
05:41 , Matt VerriRound 3
Chavez Jr’s team suggest to him that he might want to try throwing a punch. I’d agree.
His hands are ridiculously high, and he now stops to complain that Paul has the audacity to punch him.
Whistles are getting louder and louder from the fans. They are not impressed with Chavez Jr.
Camera cuts to Chavez Sr... who has his head in his hands. He could give this a better go. Waving his son forward.
And his listens! An actual shot thrown from Chavez Jr. Doesn’t really land, but it’s progress.
Paul hasn’t broken a sweat and he’s three rounds up.
Paul vs Chavez Jr
05:37 , Matt VerriRound 2
Chavez Jr did not land a single punch in the opening round. Not one.
Referee jumps in - tells Paul’s corner to take some of the vaseline off his face. To be fair there hasn’t been any punches coming in to move it.
This is an absolute cruise for Paul so far. Landing the jab, whipping in the right hand every so often... and nothing coming back.
The boos are starting from the Mexican fans, briefly halted as Chavez at least tries a right to the body.
Uppercut from Paul as he lunges in, he can fight this at whatever pace he wants. Chavez running around the ring.
2-0 Paul.
Paul vs Chavez Jr
05:33 , Matt VerriRound 1
Don’t think Chavez Jr has thrown a punch in the opening minute. He’s dancing around with his hands high,
Paul in the centre of the ring, trying to establish that jab. And backs it up with a clubbing right hand.
Chavez Jr sitting on the back foot - he hasn’t done a thing.
Another right from Paul, met with complaints from Chavez Jr that it landed at the back of his head. Referee waves the fight on.
Paul’s round. Chavez Jr doing a decent impression of Mike Tyson.
“The multi-talented superstar... he is a boxer, a content creator, a...”
I’ve lost interest.
We’re finally done with Jake Paul’s CV being read out. A lot of waffle in there.
Touch of gloves in the middle of the ring and, at long, last, it really is time.
Boos for Jake Paul during his ring walk, and again when he’s announced in the corner.
Fair to say that won’t bother him too much... in fact he asks for more noise.
For about the eighth time, we’re told it’s now time for the main event.
Some proof, at last.
Julio Cesar Chavez Jr is making his way to the ring. And he’s got a full band to accompany him, of course.
Here we go!
05:15 , Matt VerriBoth fighters getting ready to make their ring walks.
First, though, the national anthems.
Pre-fight thoughts from Paul
05:10 , Matt Verri“Feeling amazing. I love doing this.
“People think this is a 50-50 fight. Chavez is a great fighter but I’m going to show people why it’s a 100-0.
“I’m going to knock him out. I’m feeling the most explosive I’ve ever felt.
“I believe tonight will be a breakout performance.”
It's all going on!

Zurdo wins by unanimous decision!
04:56115-112. 115-112. 117-110.
And still!
Zurdo marches on, another challenger ticked off.
Ramirez vs Dorticos
04:54 , Matt VerriRound 12
Dorticos has nothing to lose and he is trying to exchange.
But Zurdo’s footwork is so good, keeps turning out of trouble. He’s behind Dorticos before the challenger can react.
Left from Ramirez in the final seconds, before Dorticos fittingly lands a body shot right on the belt.
Zurdo has surely done enough to defend his belts. 116-111, potentially wider.
Ramirez vs Dorticos
04:49 , Matt VerriRound 11
Dorticos again goes low, Ramirez blocks that one though to save his opponent more trouble.
Zurdo has lots of touching shots but there doesn’t seem to be a huge amount of power behind them. Dorticos hasn’t been hurt.
They’re enough to win the rounds though. Ramirez three minutes away from defending his belts.
Ramirez vs Dorticos
04:46 , Matt VerriRound 10
Watch out...
Dorticos with near enough three low blows in a row. Can’t have any complaints as the referee pauses the bout and takes a point off.
Forget the belt line, those were thrown at Zurdo’s thigh.
Dorticos’ race looks run. He needs a knockout f he’s going to win this fight and it doesn’t look particularly likely.
Zurda in charge without looking hugely impressive.
Ramirez vs Dorticos
04:41 , Matt VerriRound 9
Zurdo sits back on the ropes and waves his glove at Dorticos, urging him forward. He wants the chance to land his counter shots.
Momentum is firmly with the champion now, he’s moved into control in the second half of the fight.
Left hand snapped through from Ramirez, confidence growing by the second.
He doesn’t look like a man who has any concerns about what is being thrown back... but then very nearly slips over on a wet patch!
That’s the only moment of concern in an otherwise comfortable round.
Ramirez vs Dorticos
04:37 , Matt VerriRound 8
Dorticos’ corner tell him to take this round off, they want him to have a breather.
Interesting tactic, particularly after his worst round of the fight.
Zurdo might have been told similar, he’s definitely eased off the pace.
I’ve already forgotten everything that happened in that round.
Ramirez vs Dorticos
04:33 , Matt VerriRound 7
Big shot!
Zurdo lands the left hand, best shot of the fight. He’s stepped it up in this round, much more intensity.
He’s got much better footwork than Dorticos, starting to finally show that.
Combination right on the bell - much more like it from the champion.
Ramirez vs Dorticos
04:29 , Matt VerriRound 6
Tough round to score so far, neither fighter landing anything clean.
Zurdo is on the front foot and at least looking to force the pace a bit more.
Dorticos continues to box nicely. All the talk was about him landing that big right hand, but he’s had far more than that.
Snaps a left hand through - he’s in good shape at halfway.
Ramirez vs Dorticos
04:25 , Matt VerriRound 5
Dorticos continues to land body shots right on the belt line - wouldn’t be surprised if he gets into trouble before long.
Zurdo then ducks under a clubbing right hand, just about saw that coming in time.
Better round for Zurdo, but he’s still a long way off the levels we’ve seen from him in recent fights.
Ramirez vs Dorticos
04:21 , Matt VerriRound 4
This fight starting to get going.
They’re as close as they have been so far and both exchanging on the inside, landing crisp left hooks.
Dorticos then back to pushing Ramirez onto the ropes again, Zurdo is being overpowered at times.
Another quick exchange right on the ball - really good round.
Think there’s a decent argument that Dorticos is 3-1 up.
Ramirez vs Dorticos
04:17 , Matt VerriRound 3
Zurdo starting to get himself into the centre of the ring, but it’s all very sluggish still.
Imagine Chris Billam-Smith is tucked up in bed right now, but if he is watching he’ll be wishing he fought this version of Ramirez.
A second warning for Dorticos after another low blow - he’s close to losing a point.
That aside, it was another good round for him.
Ramirez vs Dorticos
04:13 , Matt VerriRound 2
Doesn’t take much for these fans to get fed up. They’ve started whistling already.
Dorticos looks full of confidence, he’s on the front foot and leaning on Zurdo, pushing him back onto the ropes.
Targeting the body too, that’s clearly part of the game plan.
Slow pace, Ramirez sitting back on the ropes... needs to show more.
Ramirez vs Dorticos
04:09 , Matt VerriRound 1
It’s Operation Set Things Up For The Massive Right Hand for Dorticos tonight.
Ramirez happy to sit on the back foot for now, establishing range with that jab.
Dorticos doesn’t move his feet very much, and his head even less. Pretty static target.
Uneventful first three minutes.
Here we go!
04:00 , Matt VerriDorticos walks out to ‘We Are The Champions’. Bold.
Huge roar again from the Mexican fans inside the arena as Ramirez then makes his way to the ring.
Don’t want to say there’s a bit of preferential treatment going on, but he has a live singer walking with him.
Tale of the tape
03:49 , Matt VerriDorticos has the power, with 25 of his 27 wins coming inside the distance.
Feel like he needs to make that count early, has to get Ramirez’s respect as quickly as possible.
If not, this could become a long night.

Curiel stops Rodriguez in round four!
03:28 , Matt VerriRound 4
RODRIGUEZ DOWN!
Well that has been coming. That might have broken his nose too, brilliant uppercut.
Curiel wants this done here, Rodriguez’s face is swelling up by the second with a minute to go.
He’s just trying to cover up as Curiel lets his hands go to head and body... and the referee jumps in!
Brutal finish.
Curiel vs Rodriguez
03:25 , Matt VerriRound 3
Rodriguez here for a good time... maybe not a long time.
Lands a couple of nice shots on Curiel, then misses another one by six feet.
Left hook from Rodriguez, Curiel takes it well. Still being fought at a ferocious pace.
Not sure there’s been a single jab thrown - no space for it.
I’ve got it 2-1 Curiel after three.
Curiel vs Rodriguez
03:21 , Matt VerriRound 2
Here comes Curiel. Great 15 second burst of combinations, Rodriguez looking uncomfortable for the first time.
Both working hard on the inside, good pace to the fight. Not sure they can keep this up over ten rounds, they’re about a foot away from each other at all times.
Two wild left hooks from Rodriguez, closer to taking someone out in the crowd than Curiel.
He’s leaving himself wide open for the counter shots. Asking for trouble, surely.
Curiel vs Rodriguez
03:17 , Matt VerriRound 1
Rodriguez trying to whip in the shots to the body, he’s made a pretty confident start.
A fair bit of clinching - referee sounds fed up of it already.
Curiel didn’t really show anything in that opening round.
This is an eliminator for the WBA welterweight strap, so a huge prize on the line for both fighters.
Ten rounds scheduled.
Let’s go.
Next fight!
03:08 , Matt VerriRight, enough of Logan Paul’s thoughts.
It’s time to continue with the action in the ring
Next up, Raul Curiel vs Victor Rodriguez.
Jake Paul looks to be near enough asleep as the camera cuts to his dressing room.
His brother Logan is currently giving his thoughts on the main event.
You may or may not be stunned to hear he thinks Jake is going to win.

Rodriguez stops Griffin in tenth round!
02:29Round 10
Final round, Griffin’s corner tell them he has to win it. They’re not wrong.
It’s a very cautious first minute, neither of them throw anything. Suits Rodriguez just fine.
Into the final minute - I’d suggest now might be a good time for Griffin to let his hands go.
Instead it’s Rodriguez putting together a combination and then dancing out of trouble.
And he’s really hurt Griffin!
Staggers back, into the ropes... heavy fall to the canvas!
Referee waves it off - Rodriguez with the stoppage in the final seconds!
Griffin vs Rodriguez
02:25 , Matt VerriRound 9
SHOT!
Brilliant left hook from Rodriguez and Griffin’s legs buckle. Does well to stay up, but he looks rattled. Definitely hurt.
He’s got blood coming from the noise now, Rodriguez back to boxing really nicely and taking very few risks.
Flurry in the final seconds from Griffin - connects with nothing but thin air.
Griffin vs Rodriguez
02:21 , Matt VerriRound 8
RODRIGUEZ DOWN!
Wow. Griffin suddenly comes alive, chopping right hand.
Rodriguez is up but he’s in trouble, Griffin has arrived with the kitchen sink. Swinging for the hills now.
Rodriguez just trying to hold... and now he looks to be back under control.
Griffin has slowed down, that burst has taken a bit out of him.
Turning into a great round, as now Rodriguez starts marching forward and letting his hands go again.
Right back in the balance after a 10-8 round.
Griffin vs Rodriguez
02:17 , Matt VerriRound 7
Griffin looks lost, he just can’t get anything going. Either he’s out of range or his work is being smothered.
Right hand there forces Rodriguez back onto the ropes, but he’s quickly tied up.
Couple of punches from both land after the bell and Griffin then tries to square up to Rodriguez.
Might want to try that in the three minutes before the bell sounds.
Griffin vs Rodriguez
02:13 , Matt VerriRound 6
Two more left hooks from Rodriguez as Griffin lunges in. Those counter shots have been so sharp.
Barely a mark on him, doesn’t look like he’s broken a sweat.
Griffin basically tries to just bundle him over at the bell, getting frustrated.
Griffin vs Rodriguez
02:09 , Matt VerriRound 5
“Throw it” is the shout from ringside. Could be from either corner.
Rodriguez looking the far more polished boxer, picking his moments and then moving out of range.
Slick combination, left hook gets through. Griffin tries one of his own and misses by about three miles.
I’ve got Rodriguez 4-1 up at halfway.
Griffin vs Rodriguez
02:05 , Matt VerriRound 4
The boos are back.
But then Griffin bursts into life, short right hand lands on the inside. Rodriguez took it well.
First time Griffin has really landed flush, though. That will give him some encouragement.
Even final 30 seconds of the round... and by that I mean nothing happens.
Griffin vs Rodriguez
02:01 , Matt VerriRound 3
Better from Griffin, steps forward and lands a left hook.
He’s forcing the issue a bit more, but he gets tagged by a counter left and Griffin looks hurt!
Briefly staggered backwards, Rodriguez doesn’t jump on it though. Patient approach.
Griffin has his legs back under him by the end of the round but that was a bit of a scare.
Griffin vs Rodriguez
01:57 , Matt VerriRound 2
Pretty constant boos from the crowd, who seem furious at learning that some of fights do go past the first round.
Rodriguez lands a nice counter right, he’s holding his feet in the centre of the ring.
We then go about 30 seconds without a single punch being thrown.
Overhand right late in the round from Rodriguez, then pushes Griffin back onto the ropes with the combination. His round.
Griffin vs Rodriguez
01:53 , Matt VerriRound 1
Some whistles from the crowd inside 90 seconds!
High standards after that rapid knockout from Schofield in the previous fight.
Fair to say it’s not been an action-packed start, all a bit cautious.
Griffin has the size advantage but not doing much with it, barely thrown a jab.
Fingers crossed we don’t get nine more of those..
The two men are in the ring, we’re about to get underway.
Griffin has faced accusations that his record has been padded - good test here against Rodriguez.
Just one defeat in his 24 professional bouts.
On we go...
01:41 , Matt VerriNext up, it’s Avious Griffin vs Julian Rodriguez.
Griffin has a 17-0 record, with 16 of those by knockouts. He’s now promoted by Jake Paul.
He has a remarkable back-story, having been falsely imprisoned for murder in 2018 for 11 months
Rodriguez has been full of confidence in the build-up, though Paul has been quick to bite back.
“I’m the promoter and I don’t even know your name,” he said at the pressure conference.
What next for Schofield?
01:32 , Matt Verri“Let’s go... anybody,” says promoter Oscar De La Hoya.
“The winner of Zepeda vs Stevenson.”
Those two fight in New York in July 12 - would be plenty of interest in Schofield fighting whoever comes out on top.
Major statement
01:29 , Matt VerriWell then, that was some start.
Farmer barely had the chance to throw a punch. Dropped twice and then the referee jumped in.
Schofield moves to 19-0 and that’s the biggest statement of his career so far.
The 22-year-old took a lot of heat after pulling out of the Shakur Stevenson bout, but this was a pretty decent way to answer all of that.
Schofield stops Farmer in first round!
01:24 , Matt VerriRound 1
FARMER DOWN!
35 seconds on the clock and he’s dropped with a right hand. Stunning start from Schofield.
And now he’s jumping all over Farmer, who is trying to hang on for dear life.
DOWN AGAIN!
Brilliant combination, Farmer crashing down to the canvas. He’s beat the count again, but this is nearly done.
AND. IT. IS.
Referee jumps in, ridiculous from Schofield.
Settle in
01:21 , Matt VerriRight, the two fighters are in the ring. We’re ready.
Farmer has been there and done it, but the 34-year-old surely can’t afford a fourth straight defeat.
Schofield has an unbeaten record, with 12 of his 18 wins coming by knockout.
Ten rounds of lightweight action scheduled.
Here we go!
01:15 , Matt VerriRight, it’s very nearly time for the main card to get up and running!
First ip, it’s Floyd Schofield vs Tevin Farmer.
Farmer coming into this off the back of three straight defeats, including two to William Zepeda.
Floyd Schofield was supposed to fight Shakur Stevenson earlier this year but pulled out at the last minute due to illness.
Chavez Jr: Everybody knows Paul is not a good boxer
01:05 , Matt VerriJake Paul believes he is a “great boxer” - Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, to put it mildly, does not.
"No, I don't think he's good. I think he tries, he trains hard, but he's not a good fighter," Chavez Jr said. "He's definitely not a good boxer.
"If he were a good boxer, then everyone else on this stage would be a legend. I don't think he's a good boxer, and everybody knows that."

Canelo backs Chavez Jr
Sunday 29 June 2025 00:31 , Matt VerriThere is a world in which it was Canelo Alvarez taking on Jake Paul tonight.
The pair were on the verge of agreeing to fight, before Canelo ultimately signed for a bout with Terence Crawford later this year.
Canelo has been asked for his prediction for tonight’s fight and unsurprisingly he has stayed in the Mexico camp.
“I hope Julio Cesar Chavez Jr beats Jake Paul,” Canelo said.. “My support is with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.”

Weigh-in results
Sunday 29 June 2025 00:17 , Matt VerriTen rounds of cruiserweight action scheduled for tonight’s main event.
Paul came in slightly the heavier of the two, but both safely under the 200lbs limit.

Sunday 29 June 2025 00:01 , Matt VerriFair to say Julio Cesar Chavez Sr is not particularly impressed with what he’s soon from Jake Paul, and is confident his son will have no problems tonight.
"Jake Paul just fought against Mike Tyson, who didn't even throw one punch," he said.
"This is not Mike Tyson. You [Jake] are going to get your ass whooped.
"Julio is going to go in throwing some serious punches, and you're going to be running like a chicken without a head."

Who is Julio Cesar Chavez Jr?
Saturday 28 June 2025 23:48 , Matt VerriThe 39-year-old is a former world champion, having held the WBC middleweight title from 2011 to 2012.
Chavez Jr is the son of legendary three-division world champion Julio Cesar Chavez Sr.
The Mexican has a professional record of 54-6-1, with one of those defeats coming to Canelo Alvarez in 2017.
There has been very little of note in recent years, with a defeat to Anderson Silva in 2021 followed by a low-key win over David Zegarra later that year.
Chavez Jr then didn’t fight until 2024, when he beat MMA fighter Uriah Hall on points.
Last time he fought...
Saturday 28 June 2025 23:38 , Matt VerriESPN have done well to find 145 seconds of highlights.
There was a lot of talking ahead of Jake Paul’s ‘fight’ with Mike Tyson... not a lot of punches in the ring.
Julio Cesar Chavez Jr might not be at his best anymore, but he will put up more of a test than Tyson.
Main event prediction
Saturday 28 June 2025 23:26 , Matt VerriAfter the complete non-event that was the Mike Tyson fight, Paul was under a little pressure to pick a more suitable opponent for his next contest.
He looks to have chosen somewhat cleverly here, selecting a vastly-experienced name fighter who is technically still active, a former world champion and from a legendary boxing family, who lasted 12 rounds with the great Canelo Alvarez in 2017.
However, you must also remember that the nearly 40-year-old Chavez Jr’s title stint ended some 13 years ago now, while he has fought just one boxer since the end of 2020 - taken the distance by the little-known David Zegarra in December 2021.
UFC icon Anderson Silva earned a split-decision win over Chavez Jr before losing to Paul, while he was also taken the full six rounds by former UFC middleweight Uriah Hall in his last outing in July 2024, only Hall’s second pro boxing bout after a decision win over former NFL star Le’Veon Bell.
Though he has won 54 of his 62 fights to date, that meeting with Hall was Chavez Jr’s only action of any kind for three-and-a-half years. He also spent most of his career in the middleweight, super-middleweight and super-welterweight divisions, meaning he will be jumping up hugely in weight up to cruiser to meet Paul.
All signs point to another comfortable night for The Problem Child, one he claims will earn him a WBC and WBA ranking and a fast-track to a potential and controversial world title shot as he continues to publicly goad the likes of Canelo.
Jake Paul to win on points.
