Paul Tisdale gives James Daly, Luke McCormick and Anssi Jaakkola injury latest ahead of Plymouth

Bristol Rovers boss Paul Tisdale has confirmed that Anssi Jaakkola and Luke McCormick are in contention to feature against Plymouth Argyle on Saturday.

Rovers welcome Argyle to the Mem on Saturday, with the two sides separated by four places and three points as the Devon side sit 15th in League One with the Gas in 19th.

Ahead of the game, Rovers have a few injury concerns, with Finland international goalkeeper Jaakkola replaced at half time in midweek against Leyton Orient by Jordi van Stappershoef.

However, Tisdale told Bristol Live at full time the move was "half-planned" with Jaakkola feeling soreness in recent weeks and the manager is hopeful the Finn will be fine for Saturday's game against Plymouth Argyle.

And Tisdale has today confirmed that both he - and Chelsea loanee McCormick - could be involved against Ryan Lowe's side, with the midfielder missing the last three games with a knock that forced him off against Darlington in the FA Cup last month.

“Anssi [Jaakkola] and Luke [McCormick], they are in contention this weekend," he confirmed.

But striker James Daly is set to miss the game, with the former Crystal Palace striker also not featuring since the 6-0 win against Darlington.

“James Daly, we are still assessing his ankle and the long-term nature of it," he said.

"We hope it is not going to be too long."

After the visit of Plymouth this weekend, Rovers face Charlton Athletic at The Valley on Tuesday night, before welcoming Oxford United to the Memorial Stadium on Saturday, December 19 in their final game before Christmas.
