Mikolaj Oledzki is earning plenty of praise for his recent performances at Leeds - including from one of British rugby league's greatest-ever forwards.
The Polish-born prop played his fourth game in just ten days for Leeds Rhinos on Monday, the second time he has done that in under a year, having put his body through the same rigorous schedule in the latter part of the 2020 season.
Oledzki defied the pain barrier to help Leeds to a 22-16 win at Warrington, returning to the field after taking a painkilling injection in his foot after suffering a knock earlier in the game.
And Oledzki, who recently made his England debut against the Combined Nations All Stars, has caught the eye of former Great Britain captain Paul Sculthorpe, who took to social media on Monday evening to praise Oledzki's recent performances.
Sculthorpe said: "Big Mik is an outstanding young talent... got all the tools to go all the way. Great kid with an attitude to match."
It is high praise from a player renowned for his attitude and ability, but right now, there are few who would disagree with Sculthorpe given the way Oledzki and fellow prop Matt Prior have led Leeds' resurgence in Super League in recent weeks.
