Paul Scholes makes prediction about Glazers and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's job at Man United

Paul Scholes thinks Ole Gunnar Solskjaer 'deserves' the chance to turn around Manchester United's fortunes this season.

United started the season in excellent style with an emphatic 5-1 win over Leeds on the opening day of the new Premier League campaign, but crucially they've failed to match that performance since, delivering multiple poor displays.

Anthony Martial gave United the lead against Everton before the international break, but the visitors found a deserved equaliser and after that 1-1 draw supporters were quick to voice their concerns about Solskjaer and the performance.

Considering the fact that United signed Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Cristiano Ronaldo this summer, the pressure is understandably increasing on Solskjaer with every lacklustre result.

But Scholes thinks the Glazers will continue to back him for now.

"Well, you never know with managers," Scholes told Webby & O'Neill.

"You can go on a run of five to six games, but if you don’t win a game then your position is going to be under threat.

"I think they back him and I think he deserves a chance. We’ve seen it under Van Gaal and Mourinho, we’ve seen how bad this team has been over the last few years and it took Ole two or three years, to now build a team of players where you expect something.

Do you agree with Scholes? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

"I think last year we didn’t really expect it, we hoped. But now something is expected, we expect him to win something, we expect him to get close. Man United, for me, aren’t in the position to start resting players.

"They’ve got to go into every game with their best team.”
