Paul Scholes makes Man Utd vs Barcelona prediction after West Ham win

Paul Scholes can't see Manchester United beating Barcelona at the Nou Camp to secure qualification to the Champions League semi-final.

The Red Devils lost 1-0 to the La Liga giants at Old Trafford in the first leg of their quarter-final, meaning they have to score at least twice in Spain next week to have any chance of going through.

Manchester United beat West Ham 2-1 in the Premier League on Saturday, which saw them leapfrog Arsenal into fifth and put pressure on fourth-place Chelsea.

And Scholes believes securing Champions League football for next season by finishing in the top four has to be United's focus because beating Barcelona at their place will be a tall order.

Scholes told BT Sport: "Today was the most important one because can you really go to Barcelona and see them winning?

"It's doubtful – of course they've got a chance but it's very difficult.

"To get in the Champions League the most realistic chance is top four. Did they prioritise this game I'm not sure.

Paul Scholes names four Man Utd players Ole Gunnar Solskjaer should sell

"They've got big games coming up but I don't think this is the best Barcelona team we've seen.

"United went to Paris Saint-Germain and did a great job there – I think PSG are possibly a better team than Barcelona."
