Paul Scholes 'being considered' for Manchester United return

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes is 'under consideration for role' in the expected revamp to the structure at the club this summer, according to reports.

United are expected to make major changes behind-the-scenes this summer following a series of disappointing campaigns since Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement in 2013.

The biggest role of which is said to be the new 'technical director' after never having a director of football in their 141-year history.

The Metro reports another, as of yet undefined, job will be created in the summer restructure and 'Scholes is being considered for a role in the new set-up.'

It's claimed United 'want a figure who understands the make-up of the club to assist in the decision-making process at board level.'

Darren Fletcher and Patrice Evra have also been considered, according to the Metro, as United 'want an appointment that can work with the new technical director to oversee recruitment'. Take the so-called report with a shovel of salt, never mind a grain.

Meanwhile, Ander Herrera has agreed a a'four-year deal with PSG,' according to reports.

The Basque midfielder has been a fan favourite at United ever since his arrival in 2014 but his five year stay looks set to end after failing to agree a new contract.

He has been heavily linked with a move to French champions Paris Saint-Germain and AS report that Herrera has 'signed a pre-agreement with the Parisian club with a weekly salary of of 233,000 euro.'

Herrera's contract expires this summer meaning he can join PSG on a free transfer after winning four trophies during his time in Manchester.
