Paul Scholes hailed Amad's improvisation in opening the scoring for Manchester United against AC Milan.
United put in a sluggish performance in the game, with Milan having two goals ruled out in a goalless first half.
Amad was introduced at half-time due to an injury to Anthony Martial and he made an impressive impact as he headed home from Bruno Fernandes' chipped pass, despite having his back to goal.
Speaking on BT Sport, Scholes praised the movement from the young attacker in the build-up to the goal.
He said: "You have to obviously adjust to when the ball’s coming to him and that’s the best he could’ve done with that ball. Fernandes in these spaces, he will look for those runs and it was a great run from Amad.
"If it comes to his chest, yeah he’ll chest it down, but he’s had to improvise there and it’s not something you see a lot and that back header was brilliant."
Scholes' BT Sport colleague, Owen Hargreaves, agreed, arguing that it was the sort of movement that can bring the best out of Fernandes.
He said: "Fabulous, to see a young player come on and have such an impact on the game. Bruno Fernandes, this is what Bruno does great, find a little pocket of space like Scholesy used to.
"That is an amazing run from a young kid, it doesn’t look like there’s a ton of space in there, he gets behind Tomori. The execution of that just shows you, it doesn’t matter how tight it is - a good pass and a good run beats any defence.
"That is a fabulous moment for the young man. I thought he had some really good moments and that was a really good header."
