Former Leeds United and England goalkeeper Paul Robinson has said that Rodrigo should get the nod ahead of Patrick Bamford when both are fit as he is the better number nine.
The 31-year-old has scored nine goals and found one assist in just 13 league games for the Whites this season while Bamford has been held back by injuries over the past two campaigns.
The Spaniard has now netted in his last four appearances, including a fantastic brace in a 4-3 loss to Tottenham Hotspur, but couldn't make his country's squad for the World Cup later this week.

"Bamford was out injured again so it’s difficult. But when Patrick has been fit, Rodrigo still has had the nod in the majority of the games," Robinson told MOT Leeds News.
"I’ve said it numerous times but Rodrigo is at his best as a number nine. I think he prefers playing there. He’s been moved about in different positions but when Leeds bought him he was Spain’s number nine. I think he’s better there.
"Patrick’s injury record means he’s been in and out and not quite fully fit. But Rodrigo once again made a claim for that jersey.
"He was excellent once again [at Tottenham] and his second goal was outstanding."
