Paul Pogba has played his last game for Manchester United after being ruled out for the rest of the season through injury.
Pogba, who is out of contract this summer and yet to sign a new deal, came off early in United's humiliating 4-0 defeat at arch rivals Liverpool on Tuesday. United interim boss Ralf Rangnick said Pogba will be out of action for at least four weeks, meaning the £89million midfielder is unlikely to pull on the famous red shirt again.
“With the scan, which we had yesterday, it is very unlikely he will play until the end of the season again,” said Rangnick. “The doctor told me that it will take four weeks minimum for him to recover and the last game is at the end of May. So I don't think it's very likely he will play again.”
Scott McTominay, who missed the Liverpool defeat, will return for tomorrow's trip to Arsenal, as will Cristiano Ronaldo, who also missed the game on compassionate leave following the death of his newborn son. Raphael Varane, who also missed the game, is available for selection again.
“Scott will be back and fit to play,” said Rangnick. “He has trained with us and the same is true with Raphael Varane. Cristiano is available again, he's been training with us. All of the others are still injured.”

Pogba's injury at Anfield came days after the midfielder was on the receiving end of fans' anger at Old Trafford. United made hard work of beating Norwich 3-2 after supporters staged a protest outside Old Trafford last Saturday, with the poisonous atmosphere carrying over into the stadium.
Pogba was taunted by a section of fans after being subbed with 15 minutes left. There were also ironic cheers as "f*** off Pogba" chants came from the stands, while Pogba drew more ire as he cupped his ears in the direction of supporters as he walked off the pitch at full-time.
