Paul Pogba will not leave Manchester United in January, says the player’s agent, Mino Raiola.
World Cup winner Pogba recently returned to action following a three-month injury lay-off.
But after a pair of substitute appearances, Pogba was not in the United squad for the win at Burnley .
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer explained that he was rested at Turf Moor as a precaution.
Pogba did not train with United’s first-team on Monday morning at Carrington, having returned to the UK following an appearance in France at a charity event, but was at the training ground where he continued to undergo fitness work.
United hope to have Pogba available for the New Year’s Day clash at Arsenal - especially with Scott McTominay set for a spell on the sidelines after picking up an injury in the thrashing of Newcastle .
However, his long-term future has continued to be in question, amid suggestions that Real Madrid could move once more when the transfer window reopens.
Yet speaking on Monday, Raiola told Sky Sports News: "Paul has always respected Manchester United just as Manchester United has also always respected Paul.
"And the only one that talks for Manchester United and for Paul is Ole, because he comments in the paper and in the press.
"I go by what he [Solskjaer] says. He [Pogba] will not move, and that’s OK. We are good with them.
"Paul is a little bit struggling with his injury that we tried to resolve and I think that’s our main interest now.
"So if Ole has ideas about my player and he wants to talk to me about it, he knows my number. And until that moment I talk with Ed Woodward, because that’s the person that I talk to at the club. I never spoke with Ole.
"So I don’t know. I only know that Paul respects him, loves him for what he has done in the past with him.
"And that’s it, that’s the only thing I know about Ole."
Pogba’s contract at Old Trafford runs until 2021.
United boss Solskjaer insisted last week that he was hoping to keep Pogba at the club long-term, stating that he sees the Frenchman as one of the world’s best players.
“He can play anywhere in midfield, he can drop deep and play long passes, he can combine with one-twos, so it depends on the game.
“That’s the beauty of Paul — he is the best all-round midfielder in the world.”
