Man Utd star Paul Pogba admits it would be a ‘dream’ to play for Real Madrid under Zinedine Zidane

Paul Pogba has admitted it would be a 'dream' to play under Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid, fuelling speculation of a summer move away from Manchester United.

The World Cup winner was linked with a departure last summer after a public bust-up with former coach Jose Mourinho but opted to stay at Old Trafford.

The 26-year-old has rediscovered his best form for United since caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over in December and has scored 14 goals as well as registering 11 assists in all competitions this season.

Currently away with the France team on international duty ahead of their Euro 2020 qualifier, Pogba spoke of his desire to play for LaLiga giants Real and, more specifically, his compatriot Zidane.

"Like I've always said, Real Madrid is a dream for anyone. It's one of the biggest clubs in the world," Pogba said.

"There is also [Zinedine] Zidane as a coach and it's a dream for anybody who likes football.

"For now, I'm at Manchester. We don't know what the future holds. I'm at Manchester and I'm happy."

It remains to be seen whether United would be willing to cash in on Pogba, the club's record signing who was recruited for £90million from Juventus in 2016.

Real are reportedly planning a summer transfer spree with Chelsea star Eden Hazard one of their top targets, while Tottenham's Christian Eriksen has also been linked with a switch to the Santiago Bernabeu.
