Paul Pogba has provided Manchester United supporters with an injury update minutes after Ralf Rangnick earned victory in his Old Trafford curtain-raiser.
The 28-year-old has not played for the Premier League giants since the beginning of last month, having picked up an injury on France duty during the November international break.
A vague return date was at the time set by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who told reporters: "He's already started on his rehab and wants to come back fresh and ready. If it's two months or six weeks or 12 weeks, I've got to tell you in a few weeks how he's healing."
Solskjaer was never able to provide that Pogba update, though, having since been sacked.
Michael Carrick then oversaw victories against Villarreal and Arsenal - either side of a creditable draw with Chelsea - as Rangnick kicked off his spell as interim manager with a 1-0 win at home to Crystal Palace.
Fred settled the match at Old Trafford with a stunning, right-footed strike midway through the second half.
Now, though, attentions have turned to his midfield colleague.

Addressing his 9.5million followers on Twitter, former Juventus star Pogba posted an image during strength and conditioning training in the gym, alongside a short caption which read: "On the road to coming back stronger."
Pogba is heading into the final six months of his United contract with an extension yet to be agreed.
