Paul Pogba sets Manchester United teammates challenge ahead of RB Leipzig and Man City fixtures

Paul Pogba has challenged his Manchester United teammates to keep their winning mentality going ahead of a crucial week.

Despite an atrocious first-half performance in which they went a goal down, United managed to come back to defeat West Ham 3-1 on Saturday to continue their impressive streak of victories away from home.

The win will be a massive boost for United ahead of what could be a crucial week in the story of their season.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side will first travel to east Germany to take on RB Leipzig in the Champions League, in need of a point to secure their qualification to the knockout stages. The game will then be followed by the Manchester derby on Saturday, with Manchester City visiting Old Trafford, and a win would see United go four points clear of their city rivals.

Pogba, who scored a brilliant goal to equalise at the London Stadium, has discussed the importance of the two games.

“For sure, we have two big games coming up. We have Champions League [against Leipzig] and we have City," he told United's official site.

"We know that those are two very important games, decisive games. We have to carry on this mentality of winning, always. That’s what the club is about and we want to carry on this and what we did in the second half. And yeah, that’s it.

"It has to be inside. I mean, always. We cannot afford to lose and be happy with a loss or a draw. We have to be bad losers, that’s what we have to be, and always want to win. Even 1-0 or 6-5… We have to win. That’s what we want.”
